Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

BuildableIQ is a product of Atik Design S.E.N.C ("we", "us", "our"). This privacy policy explains how we handle information collected through the BuildableIQ mobile application and website (buildableiq.com).

2. Information we collect

Account information

When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your email address and a unique identifier from Apple/Google. We do not store passwords. You may also optionally provide your company name and a logo image.

Usage data

We log the properties you analyze (APN, address, county) to power the app's history feature and to improve our property data quality. Token transactions (purchases, spend, promo redemptions) are recorded in an audit ledger.

Location

The app may request access to your device location to find the property you are standing on. Granting it is optional: you can always search by address or APN instead.

When you do use it, your coordinates are sent to our servers and to the public mapping and land-records services we query, because identifying the parcel at a given point is the only way to answer the question. We do not build a location history from this: the coordinates serve the lookup, and what is stored afterwards is the parcel itself (APN, address, county) when you choose to save a project.

Device data

We collect basic technical data (device model, OS version, app version, error logs) via Sentry for crash reporting and product improvement. Sentry is configured to avoid collecting personally identifiable information.

3. How we use information

• To authenticate you and maintain your account.
• To provide the BIQ Score and analysis features you request.
• To process token purchases via Apple App Store and Google Play.
• To diagnose technical issues and improve the app.
• To contact you about your account or important service updates.

4. Third-party services

• Apple Sign-In / Google Sign-In — authentication.
• RevenueCat — in-app purchase processing and subscription management.
• Cloudflare — hosting (server, database, file storage).
• Sentry — error monitoring and crash reporting.
• Public GIS data sources — California county assessor offices, USDA SSURGO, NREL, FEMA, CalEnviroScreen, and others. These are used to fetch property-related data; we do not share your account or usage data with these sources.

5. How we protect information

We use industry-standard security practices: HTTPS for all communications, encrypted storage at rest, opaque session tokens, and strict server-side authorization checks. Access to production data is limited to the BuildableIQ development team.

6. Your rights

You can delete your account at any time from inside the app: open the Account screen and tap Delete Account. This erases your profile, your saved projects and history, and your token ledger, including any unspent balance. Full details, and how to ask by email if you no longer have the app, are on our account deletion page.

You may also request access to or correction of your personal data by emailing admin@atikdesign.ca. We respond within 30 days. Purchases made through Apple or Google remain in their systems under their own retention rules, which we do not control.

7. Children

BuildableIQ is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe we have, please contact us so we can delete it.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will post the new version here with an updated "Last updated" date. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice.
